Villard Mansion Courtyard, Palace Hotel, 9:30PM
Traffic rushes past the courtyard of Villard Mansion, designed in 1882 by McKim, Mead, and White for financier Henry Villard. Today, the mansion is part of the New York Palace Hotel. From the hotel’s Palace Facts:
The Palace Courtyard was originally the carriage entrance for the Villard Houses, built in 1882. The design drawings for the Villard Mansion are now housed in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
